Heeding Warnings

Seemingly unending dishes and glassware to clean up to be ready for this weekend’s Estate~Moving sale.

As I was bending over to pick up the coffee cups of yet another set of china that will be on display, in an instant I received a “premonition” that one would fall and break. (Happily, the five cups left still completed that collection with its five remaining dinner plates.)

I recognized this perception as a warning signal. Should I have heeded the split second image? What was the purpose? Why receive such a sign with practically no time to react?

God warns His people continually. Do you recognize it? If you do, do you act accordingly?

How often have you though, “I just knew I should have done that?” Or said to yourself, “i had a feeliing this would happen?”

We get all kinds of signals or checks in our spirit we ignore or pass off as nothing.

Isa. 30:21 and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way. Walk in it.” (WEB)

Too often we’re looking for a sign to direct us or some supernatural confirmation.

Lk. 16:31 “He (Abraham) said to him, ‘If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.'” (WEB)

To get the context you can read the whole account of Lazarus and the rich man (Lk. 16:19-31). The point here is that God’s Word directs us sufficiently in so many areas and should be enough. The Book of Proverbs is chock full of wisdom for our daily lives!

The reason for the dishes...

Circumstances prohibited us from holding on to what was originally grandpa and grandma’s house. Therefore, we had to sell it. At hand is the momentous task of minimalizing generations of belongings, and thus, the “Estate Sale.”

As the day approaches…

The dusty china is cleaned, glassware shiny, and I even managed to get some tarnish off the silver, etc. Yet there’s still much to be done.

Can you help out by

coming on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday to fill up some lonely hours?

You might even find a bargain among our Trash.nTreasUR.s !
