Your Father Knows What You Have Need of #ThanksB2God

Your Father Knows What You Have Need of #ThanksB2God

As any good parent, I would do my best to meet my children’s needs as they were growing up. It may not have appeared to them that I was doing anything about what they wanted, but I searched out the best means to provide what was best for them. Even now that they’re on their own, I’m always on the lookout for the best deals on things that I’m aware they could use.

On a greater scale, our heavenly Father is making His provision for us in ways we cannot even imagine. Wait for Him! He has a better plan…

Lu 12:30 (ASV) For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: but your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

#FundacionEfrainRecommends ~David McCasland, Nuestro Pan Diario, 13 Feb. 2014

“El legendario entrenador de baloncesto John Wooden (1910-2010) estaba convencido de que el carácter es mucho más importante que la reputación. «Tu reputación es lo que otros perciben que eres —solía decirles a sus jugadores—, pero tu carácter es lo que eres en realidad. Tú eres el único que conoce tu carácter. Puedes engañar a otros, pero no a ti mismo».”

Beth Moore (2009-09-01). Praying God’s Word: Breaking Free from Spiritual Strongholds (pp. 59-60). B&H Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.

My name is Pride. I am a cheater. I cheat you of your God-given destiny . . . because you demand your own way. I cheat you of contentment . . . because you “deserve better than this.” I cheat you of knowledge . . . because you already know it all. I cheat you of healing . . . because you’re too full of me to forgive. I cheat you of holiness . . . because you refuse to admit when you’re wrong. I cheat you of vision . . . because you’d rather look in the mirror than out a window. I cheat you of genuine friendship . . . because nobody’s going to know the real you. I cheat you of love . . . because real romance demands sacrifice. I cheat you of greatness in heaven . . . because you refuse to wash another’s feet on earth. I cheat you of God’s glory . . . because I convince you to seek your own. My name is Pride. I am a cheater. You like me because you think I’m always looking out for you. Untrue. I’m looking to make a fool of you. God has so much for you, I admit, but don’t worry . . . If you stick with me You’ll never know.
